Hi,
Fishing has been slow at Oak Island this week. I've fished the point on the West end a couple of times using shrimp, live mullet and Gulp Ripple Mullet. I've caught one Lizard fish. I have seen one keeper flounder caught and one 10" shark.
I've been out gigging two nights and saw one flounder that may have been legal. Had my wife and daughter with me on their first gigging trip, so after showing them what a flounder looked like, I reached down and touched his tail. He swam of and we went looking for one bigger.
Got a thunder storm moving through now. I'll get out and try it again after things settle down.
